Plum Tomatillo Salsa

I promised you plums, and plums I will deliver!

These last 5 days have been full of excitement for me. I shot a commercial all day on Friday, my mom came to visit on Saturday, I taught a cooking class at Whole Foods, a workshop at Pure Yoga, and spent priceless time with my mother, enjoying this beautiful city. Still, despite my busy long weekend, I couldn’t wait to share this recipe for plum tomatillo salsa/salad with you. Is it a salsa or a salad? It can be either. Eaten with tortilla chips, it’s certainly a refreshing summer salsa. Tossed with beans and avocado, you’ve got yourself a delicious salad with a nice tang.
Make sure you try this dish before summer is over. Though I am looking forward to fall produce, it’s always hard to say goodbye to summer’s bounty.

Check out my post from last week to read about the health benefits of plums.

Wow, plum and tomatillo is not a combination that would ever have occurred to me! Must try. :)

This looks great! I just published a recipe for Plum Cucumber salsa – funny how we both used plums in a salsa! I hadn’t thought to try it with tomatillos, but my husband happens to be growing some in his work garden, so I’ll tell him to bring some home!
