I often get questions about whether a woman can have a healthy vegan pregnancy. I’ve never been pregnant, but I have plenty of friends who have been. They’ve all had healthy pregnancies, and healthy babies. Most of them have had natural births. Health and fitness were priorities before they became pregnant, during the pregnancy, and postpartum as well. I figure, if I ever decide to have a baby, I’ve got a great group of friends to advise me along the journey.

My friend Kendra is one of those healthy vegan women who recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. She lives in my neighborhood, and I love spending time with her, and so when I received a question for Q&A with Jenné about vegan pregnancy, she was the first person I thought about inviting over to film with me.

In this video Kendra shares her top tips for maintaining a healthy pregnancy. The tips are simple, practical, and sustainable on a plant-based diet.

Do you have any tips for healthy vegan pregnancy? If so, share them with us in the comments below! Share any questions there too.

And since we’re on the topic of pregnancy, I figure we should start celebrating Mother’s Day a couple of weeks early. Check back later this week for a fun vegan Mother’s Day gift guide. I’m almost finished with the guide, but if you have any gifts you think I should know about, please share with me in the comment section 🙂
