Since I was a little girl, dogs have always been my best friends, unofficial siblings, and trusted confidants. Living with dogs from an early age set the basis for my compassion for other animals. I believe that all animals are worthy of humane treatment, respect, and protection from harm. I’m very excited about today’s Pay It Forward Friday organization, GREY2K USA, because they are doing just that. They’re demanding an end to greyhound racing.
GREY2K USA is the largest greyhound protection organization in the nation and is working to end dog racing in the United States and worldwide. The non-profit also promotes the rescue and adoption of greyhounds across the globe.
Dog racing is cruel and inhumane. At commercial racetracks, thousands of dogs are kept in tiny, stacked cages for an average of twenty or more hours a day. When they are used for racing, many break their legs, crush their skulls, and suffer other serious injuries. Even healthy dogs are still destroyed each year once they are no longer profitable. GREY2K USA is working to end this cruelty. Visit their website for more information about how they work to end this cruelty, and re-home these precious dogs. Make sure to read the page about dog racing.
All of the co-founders and principals at GREY2K USA are VEGAN! So we partnered up this Friday to get the word out about what they’re doing to save dogs, and what I’m doing to help people start or improve their vegan journey with the 21-Day Vegan Blueprint. Today, when you join the 21-Day Vegan Blueprint, I will donate 20% of sales to GREY2K USA. My donation will go to helping this fantastic organization get the word out about the inhumanity of greyhound racing, and take them closer to ending it. It will also help in their efforts to rescue and find loving homes for dogs.
