They invited me to help them celebrate their 5 new creative and artful frozen dessert flavors: Chocolate Drizzled Bananas Foster, Peachy Maple Pecan, Blueberry Cardamom, Cold Brew Coffee, and Toasted Coconut Key Lime. As you’ll see in the post, I’m a fan of these fabulous new flavors. I hope you will be too.

Vegan Milkshakes Peach Maple Pecan | @sweetpotatosoul

Summertime is here, and I couldn’t be more excited to be spending it in our new home of Los Angeles! I’m in love with how much milder the summer weather is here. A week spent in NYC in mid-June made me realize how much I really do appreciate the cooler nights, ocean breeze, and dryness of LA.

Still, I’m craving all of the quintessential flavors of summer: fresh juicy fruit (especially peaches and watermelon), iced tea & lemonade, grilled veggie burgers, BBQ everything, and thick frosty milkshakes. Summer just wouldn’t be complete without those classic treats!

So, when I heard about the new frozen dessert flavors by So Delicious Dairy Free I knew I had to use them to make vegan milkshakes. And what goes best with a milkshake? Burger and fries of course! But unlike the burgers, fries, and milkshake you’d get at a standard fast food joint this is vegan, fresher, and so much better for you. Yes, even the milkshakes – they’re dairy free!

Vegan Milkshakes Cold Brew Coffee | @sweetpotatosoul

So Delicious Dairy Free really got me off of my no-coffee kick with my favorite of their new flavors: Cold Brew Coffee. If you love coffee and ice cream you will adore this coconut milk based frozen dessert. One thing I don’t love about traditional milkshakes (aside from the harmful dairy), is the ice cream to milk ratio. A typical fast food milkshake will have 2 cups of sugary ice cream plus 1 cup of sweetened milk. Toooooooo sweet and kinda boring. For this Cold Brew shake you’ll use 1 cup of the vegan dessert, 1 cup of unsweetened non-dairy milk, and 1 cup of naturally sweet ripe frozen bananas. Add some raw cacao powder in there for a mocha-style shake. See, no wonder this is my favorite one.

Vegan Milkshakes Blueberry Cardamom | @sweetpotatosoul

My other favorite shake is made with the So Delicious Dairy Free Blueberry Cardamom frozen dessert. Yes, you heard that right: Blueberry Cardamom. It’s just as sophisticated and delicious as it sounds, and it makes the prettiest shake of all. Like the Cold Brew shake I wanted to incorporate the natural sweetness of fruit. I used frozen fruit for both shakes because it helps to keep the shake thick and creamy. Top it with a scoop of the Blueberry Cardamom frozen dessert, or a dollop of So Delicious CocoWhip.

So Delicious Vegan Frozen Dessert Vegan Milkshakes | @sweetpotatosoulAnd my other favorite has got to be the Peachy Maple Pecan. Y’all know I’m from the south. More specifically I’m a proud Georgia Peach! This divine cashew-based frozen dessert reminds me of warm peach cobbler topped with ice cream. I didn’t want to make this recipe too complicated, but if you feel like it, plan to make the Ginger Peach Cobbler from my cookbook to serve with this one. The shake is definitely the most classic and simple. Just the Peachy Maple Pecan frozen dessert with unsweetened non-dairy milk. Top it with one more scoop and toasted pecans.
