Sweet Potato Hummus

Here is a link to the original recipe that I posted in 2012.That one has smoked sea salt :)
In the video I am eating the hummus with Ryvita crackers.
Serves: 4
  • 1½ cups chickpeas, fresh or canned
  • 1 sweet potato steamed or baked, you'll only need the flesh (3/4 cup if using store bought puree)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp mellow miso
  • 3 tbps tahini
  • 1 tsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor.
  2. Blend until very smooth and creamy.
  3. Add more seasoning to taste.
