Peaches LOVE you!
And you should really love them back.
Full of potassium, vitamins A, the B’s and C, as well as some seriously juicy deliciousness, peaches are the perfect summertime fruit. If you’ve been following my blog, or know me personally, you’re probably aware of my love for the luscious treats. Hey, I am a Georgia Peach! The color, the smell, the taste…OH, the taste!
I use peaches in a variety of dishes. From savory to dessert, they’re the most versatile fruits. They complement it all, from tomatoes to tofu, and are delicious in everything from from raw pies to pasta. Peaches are unfortunately on the Dirty Dozen list. That means that they are among the most highly pesticide sprayed produce on the market. I aim to buy organic peaches, or I buy them from the Farmer’s Market. I like to think that the bright peach peaches at the farmer’s market have got superfood powers to fight any bad pesticides. I also like to think that my local farmers spray less than the bigger farms. Just maybe : )
But enough of the scary stuff. A fuzzy succulent peach is anything but scary!
Whether you’re a peach entusiast or not, I hope you’ll find this round up of peachy recipes inspiring and give them all a try.
Bon Appetit Peach!
p.s. My mom’s business in Atlanta is called Peachy Clean of Atlanta. We LOVE peaches!
